Sunday, June 24th
from 11:30 – 1:30
Join fiber artist Rajni Kavula to create beautiful statement necklaces from re-purposed materials like rope, plumbing hardware and yarn. Students will learn how to make tassels, hand wrap a rope and take home their own bold tassel necklace. This is a fun and easy project- if you’re anything like me, you’ll end up using your new learned skills to make necklaces for everyone you know!
All materials are included.
From cotton rope, yarn in a variety of colors, copper hardware, glue and needles- we’ll provide it all! We’ll also supply beverages for students, including beer, wine, or sparkling water.
Small class guaranteed.
Max enrollment is limited to 12 students per session, so register while there’s still room!
About our teacher:
Rajni Kavula is the artist and maker behind Adroit’s beautiful Indigo-dyed clothing and accessories, which you might have seen here at the shop. She has a degree in fine arts, and started her handmade journey with crochet, then later hand dyeing, though she is always learning and experimenting with new techniques. She mostly works with natural fabrics like linen, rayon, silk, and cotton yarn, as sustainable living is so very important in times like these. Rajni also teaches our Indigo and Batik classes- learning new techniques has been such a wonderful experience for her, and she hopes to pass on that joy to her students!
