Drawing Birds – November 17

from 11 am – 2 pm
Birds are one of the most beautiful and captivating themes in nature and have been the subjects of many an artist. In this class, we’ll go step-by-step through the process of drawing and capturing a bird in colored pencil. Learn to layer, blend, burnish, and add texture to your bird illustration, plus we’ll learn some top-secret tricks and tips of the trade. Participants will choose their bird from a selection of high resolution photographs and then we’ll take it from there! New to colored pencils? You won’t be after this fun and informative class!
About the Teacher
Jennifer Linderman is a local artist, instructor, and nature enthusiast. Jennifer’s work focuses on bringing together elements of botany and nature, namely animals and plants! She also loves using bright, bold, and saturated colors for her newest series of portraits- she’ll also be teaching a pet portraiture class with us soon!
Small Class Size
Enrollment is limited to 10 students at most per session, so register while there’s still room!
No experience is required.
This class is suitable for beginners.
All Materials Included!
Students will receive a kit to take home and keep practicing using some of the supplies they were introduced to in class. This includes an artist grade set of 12 Prismacolor Colored Pencils, a click eraser, 2 graphite pencils, and a colorless blender. We’ll also provide coffee, tea, and other select beverages to enjoy during class.
