Youth Craft Fair Vendor Application

We’re hosting a craft fair for youth and we’re looking for young makers, bakers, earth-shakers, and business-minded kids to vend with us! We’re hoping for a wide variety of makers, artists, young chefs/bakers/lemonade-istas, and even kids looking to promote their babysitting, pet-walking, lawn-mowing, and other service-based businesses. We love to support local makers, and we’re SO EXCITED to hopefully foster some creative entrepreneurial excitement in the next generation!

FREE TO VEND:
It is FREE FOR KIDS TO PARTICIPATE, though we do ask for a REFUNDABLE $20 DEPOSIT to help us minimize the risk of vendors not showing up. If your application is accepted, your $20 payment will be refunded on the day of the event as long as your kid(s) show up to vend! If your application is not accepted, your $20 payment will be refunded when we notify you. If your kid(s) get accepted, but have to back out at the last minute, we will issue a refund as long as you notify us by Midnight on August 5th. We offer a 50% refund for cancellations between August 6th – August 9th. Follow the link to pay after you submit this application.

WHO SHOULD APPLY:
We’re looking for kids of the ages of 16 and below to vend with us. Younger kids may need a little more help setting up- since we have a 9 month old ourselves, we won’t be able to supervise your kids- if they need adult supervision or assistance, that is for the parents to arrange. We are happy to accept groups of kids, we encourage kids to apply with friends and/or siblings- we want this to be a fun experience for the kids!

HOURS:
This event will run from 11am – 6pm. We know that’s a long time for kids to run a booth, so we’ve broken the day into shifts. We encourage kids to vend with one or more friends or siblings, as , and allow for bathroom breaks, etc. If they will be vending with a larger group, they may want to apply for a longer shift, as more kids can potentially rotate out and give each other breaks.

LOGISTICS:
This event will take place during the Laurel Street Fair on MacArthur Blvd right in front of our shop at 3908 MacArthur Blvd. Because of this, parking will probably be fairly tricky, so we’re hoping to make this is easy as possible for the kids and you parents out there, too. We’ll provide tables and tablecloths for the kids to use, so unless they want to bring a special tablecloth or decorative items from home, all they need to bring is whatever they’re selling and any display materials they might need. We’ll have 4′ and 6′ tables available, and the 6′ tables will be available as a full table, or a half table. You can choose your preference in the form below. If accepted, we’ll allow vendors to drop off items the day before the event to help take some of the pressure off the big day.

DEADLINE TO APPLY:
Noon on Wednesday, July 31st.

ACCEPTANCE:
We’ll send out notifications about whether or not your kid(s) were accepted by Friday, August 2nd.

I understand that this event is for youth to sell products that they made and/or services that they provide. All products sold must be made by one or more of the kid(s) selling them, and all services must be be completed by one or more of the children present. Adult help is totally fine, but selling manufactured products, products made strictly by adults, or advertising services performed by adults and/or businesses owned by adults will not be allowed.
